So it’s now May and thought a general update of my efforts to make money online was due. I’m not making a living online yet but then I wasn’t expecting to. I got my first payout from the Fair Matrix. It was just $4.50 but bearing in mind that the programs only been running 1 week it’s not bad! The fair Matrix has also had a graphics make over and the site now looks much more professional. In addition to promotion on manual traffic exchanges I’m also going to look into doing more safelist advertising again. Possibly also some paid site advertising on more PTC sites.
In regards to search engine rankings I’ve got to find the time to do some more SEO work. I’ve now set a static page as this blogs homepage and this has helped a little with the sites rankings. This is something to build on in the future. At present my google adsense account makes me about £60 every 6 months. At least this covers the cost of my annual web hosting.
I’m also looking at market spread betting as a way to earn cash online. On the one hand your income isn’t based on getting referrals but on the other it is more risky. Also spread betting requires a lot less money than buying and trading the stocks or commodities. I’ve got to get into staring at charts and trying to pick my first bet on which way a market a market will go. At present my first rule for spread betting is that I WILL NOT trade for the sake of trading! I will look at all the spread betting possibilities before making my first trade. Here in the UK any profits from spread betting are tax free so I’m definitely very interested in what I can achieve from spread betting!
